The trip....

Not a fan of leaving home for more than a few hours, I just concluded a 11 days long trip, and in my first proper post I am gonna rant about many things and praise a few others, that featured in the trip. Prior to this trip, I had been out of home for 5 days in the last 3 years. The trip was more or less forced on me, not that I am complaining. And when i submitted, i told myself that 'i must suffer as much as possible'.
Originally planned to 13days, I started out the day my exam ended on 13th to Cuttack. I hate buses :P, my three classmates {Durga, Kanhu and Chandra} who were traveling with me slept away while I never managed to :(  The space is small, its either cold or raining or hot, there is a fat boy {Kanhu to be precise} reclining in front of you. Although you have not slept well for a few days you still cant sleep..... Cuttack, arrive already please.
Anyway, reached Manish's {friend} from where we were to ride to Tata on 15th, 400kms. No, i was not at all excited and would have happily given my place to anyone even at the last moment.
Day of 14th was spent with a short trip to Bhubaneswar. Hate young people with their whims :P {those of Manish especially. You need to sort your head before starting with your job}. While night of 14th was almost ruined by Durga, who needs to accompany Manish to the head-repair shop.
15th came and here is an earlier photo of me with Manish and the bike. So we started, a lot late than i would have liked, a little late than planned. Two bags, two of us, and the ride that needed transportation :P
I have ever been to two very long rides and i can tell you that it is easier to drive than to sit behind. Me and most of my friends prefer to occupy the pillion in general {easier to look around :D} but long distances.......... !!!!!
The roads were never-ending. I can never get bored of long empty roads, trees and forests, hills and rain {although it didnt rain :P} while traveling.
North of Simlipal-

The ride was a good experience but painful.. :( I understood the meaning of some swears{related to a person's back} that people use so easily without understanding what it actually means/feels like :P. I would never use those swears for anyone anymore.
Crossed some 50 big and small bridges.
One incident needs mention, at one point, somewhere, sometime, while  sitting behind, i fell asleep and was dreaming of the times i used to fall asleep as a child on the scooter :D Woke up with a violent jerk, thanked my vestibule for saving me and forced myself back to reality.
Also, a little thank you to Google maps.

Tata.... what do i say!! Spent the evening  there, and its much bigger than i thought. A nice place for Manish to work and stay for as much time as he wants to. Was taken to Zindagi na milegi Dobara when i wanted to lie  or stand, not sit {and there i risk the predictable yet irritating jokes :-|}

Off to Pune next morning. Why do all trains have to run late!!??!! Start late, run slow, end even more late!! Over 30hrs of train journey to Pune, to my brother.
Within 15mins i knew the people of Pune have no road sense. They would be killed by the number in a city like Delhi.
Pune had these areas that had the silence of small town but the majority was like most other big cities.
But as i always say, its about the people and not about the place.
Harry Potter.
Another friend after 3 years.
I buy, elder bro pays.
Thumbs up Pune.
I hate twists. One must always have a plan and follow it.
I was supposed to go to Wardha from there, on 20th. But my friend Abhishek was in Navi-Mumbai and that ***##@@* told this to me on 18th, that too when i called him to announce my coming. I am not at all flexible and changing travel plans when in the middle of it, is the last thing i would like to do.
Okay, will suffer this modification too. {yes, just the idea of such modifications irritate me as hell :X }And no Abhishek, I dont enjoy spontaneity. I like it organised, with pre-knowledge of every little detail. Bless the comfort of the known.
Anyhow, more emotional blackmailing followed and i was made to travel to and fro between Pune and Navi-mumbai on the day of my train back home.
The Mumbai-Pune expressway on a rainy day. Lonavala. Prolly the most beautiful road i have ever traveled. The 150kms were pure bliss.
The bus played the movie Ready and i will never forgive the makers of the movie. I am damn sure the nausea was because of the movie and not the bus or the winding roads.
It was good to see my once best friend after so so long, sadly though only for a few hours. :( Road back to Pune was the same :D
The rest is only another long train journey, less painful though. The idea of home is always enough to wash out every little negative :)

While i enjoyed it all but I think I am done with traveling for at least 2 years. What to say.........!!!!!!!!
