Am sure this topic has been covered by many people, may be by more than has been read by.
If no one reads this post of mine, then my point stands right.
However, hold on to the second thought that just came to your mind. You are already caught into the loop of my reverse psychology, so better read on.
If you find yourself connecting to any of the lines in this post, then yes you are right, I had you in mind while writing this.
Back in the good ol' days, 90% writers were poets. All had a poem about how they met a beauty in life but life presented different paths, and they separated yada yada yada. Friends were the first to suffer, close friends had to say, 'reflects deep meaning of life....'.
While growing up, many develop a habit of reading books, and more often than not are inspired a lot from a certain writer, book or genre. And from there, in many, stems the desire to write a book 'someday in life'.
Harry Potter and LOTR fans wanted to write fantasy, Bhagat fans wanted to write on their college lives, many others are waiting to write an autobiography. The dream of writing soon devours the craze of reading.
While growing up, times also changed and entered blogs and fan fiction!
Everyone has one, many have more than one. The poems about 'paths in life' became posts about 'colours and opportunities in life'. So many expert sports bloggers started sharing links with the world.
Desire to step in the shoes of favourite writer resulted in fan-fiction. Never-ending.
And finally the over-smart cynic {once again, let not your mind analyze anything. Kill the thought}. Criticizing anything and everything. Writing poorly about poor writings.
Nobody reads. And its the fault of the writers. Everyday people have less time and patience than the last day and in writing universe everything has been going round in circles, and in many concentric circles.
How many of readers write? If all, my point still stands, was joking earlier.
Time for my friends to suffer. In return, I promise to read your blogs etc. Just keep it short.
